INTERNATIONAL

As of May 14, 2007, the US Post Office has eliminated all surface shipping. All shipments now go via air. We can still offer the cheapest way to ship internationally as we do not charge on a per book basis. We charge you a $3.25 handling fee plus our actual costs to ship to you. In most cases this amounts to half what you would pay on a per book basis.

We have an established consolidator that picks up our international shipments daily. The method of shipment is International Surface Air Lift. If you buy in bulk, we suggest using this. ISAL is available in most countries but if yours isn’t, we will let you know when you order. Delivery time is between 2-4 weeks depending upon the country.

We are also one of the few book retailers that offers international insurance. We charge only $2.75, and this can really save you money if a package is lost or damaged. We take great care with our packaging but once an order leaves our warehouse, we can’t be held responsible for loss or damage, if uninsured.

We also offer the International Flat Rate Box. Costs for it are $25 for Canada and $37 for everywhere else. The Flat Rate box will hold approximately 12-15 regular paperbacks and approximately 20 - 22 thin paperbacks. Maximum weight for International Flat Rate Box is 20 pounds. Delivery time is faster – about 1-2 weeks.

Since most countries outside of the US use kilograms instead of pounds, use this system of measurement when calculating how many books will ship in your order:

1 “fat” mass market paperback weighs ½ pound

2 series romance or “skinny” book weighs ½ pound

Example: In a 11 pound box we can get in 22 fat mass market paperbacks.

INSURANCE

Insurance is an additional cost ($1.30+ for domestic orders, $2.75 for international), but always a good idea. We take great care with our packaging but once an order leaves our warehouse, we can’t be held responsible for loss or damage.

BRIDE OF THE BEAST,
by Welfonder, Sue-Ellen

Larger-than-life characters and a scenic setting add color to Welfonder's 14th-century romance, but the story's lack of historical detail will ultimately frustrate readers. Since her husband's death, Lady Caterine Keith has been forced to stand by as greedy Englishmen threaten her Scottish stronghold. To protect the castle from a royal edict, Caterine's sister, Linnet (the heroine of Welfonder's first novel, Devil in a Kilt), sends Caterine a prospective husband of the highest virtue-Sir Marmaduke Strongbow. Caterine grudgingly marries the scarred, English-born knight but refuses to offer him her heart because she was once raped by English soldiers and now hates any man with English blood. Marmaduke, however, fears Caterine really resists because of his appearance. Although Caterine's opposition to Marmaduke feels contrived, Welfonder pens some steamy scenes in which the two first use sex to bridge their differences and then continue giving into desire while the differences remain. In the end... readers will be left wondering how love finally prevailed and why it took so long.

HOUSE OF PAIN,
by Pantziarka, Pan

When a young streetwalker is picked up by an enigmatic older woman, she finds herself launched into an odyssey of pleasure and pain beyond measure. Lost in a night world, and thrown to the lusts of her anonymous captors, she must submit to their increasingly bizarre rituals of pain and degradation in order to find salvation. House of Pain provides a glimpse of living Hell as a young woman is abandoned to the throes of rage, violence and cruelty which feed the sexual impulse. It remains probably the most extreme document of sadism and pornographic intensity since the writings of de Sade himself.

Jonas Whitaker is an artist with a studio in New York where he paints, carouses and sometimes teaches students. He has a powerful patron who has promoted him to the position of prominence he holds at the time the books opens. He is also alienated from his family because he suffers from a condition that today would be termed bi-polar disorder or manic-depression. In the 19th century it was simply madness. Imogene Carter is the daughter of a wealthy dilatante artist who lives in Nashville (the Athens of the South). Her sister had been a talented young artist, but her sister had died. In an effort to please her father, Imogene has come to New York, where her godfather has secured for her a place among Jonas Whitaker's students.
