Genna Ross has achieved fame and fortune in the country music field, but her loyal fans know nothing of her bleak Appalachian childhood when she was stigmatized by her illegitimate birth and her grandfather's reputation as a moonshiner. Her success is shadowed by her past, and so she returns to the mountains of West Virginia to lay to rest the shadows that have haunted her for years. She again encounters Evan Sullivan, the only man she's ever loved, but one who had betrayed her trust.
